Zander is 12 years old and going into 7th grade. He has been acting since he was 5 years old. Zander enjoys improv and exploring different characters and you will often find him playing around with characters and voices around the house and sometimes even in the classroom as his teachers have shared. Zander is unique in that he brings a sense of social awareness beyond his years to his pieces. He truly is able to dig deeper than an average 12 year old and brings a unique perspective to his craft. Zander has had some formal training over the past year and continues to grow in confidence and his acting skills. He was selected through an audition process to be part of the Broadways Artist Alliance Acting program in NYC. He studies with them in their week long intensive’s and workshops. Zander also enjoys ceative writing and has been identified as gifted in this area since second grade.
He has also been a part of several theatrical productions. His most recent one was being cast as the lead, Don Lockwood, in singing in the rain. He was also a cast member in Pippi Longstocking at the Des Moines Community Playhouse which was sadly cancelled due to the pandemic. Zander also loves to sing and has fun pulling out an “opera man” character in the classroom which has now earned him a reputation in the grade that he enjoys playing into. As most young boys do, he has a love for all sports and plays football, soccer and hockey and has hopes to one day make it to the NFL. He also has an immense love for just being a kid and playing outside with his friends and fishing.
