Slapshot! broadcasting workshop with the Iowa Wild

Ages 10 and up: SPRING BREAK POP-UP WITH IOWA WILD

SUNDAY MARCH 15th 1:30-7:00

One of our most popular summer camps is going POP UP…AGAIN! Go Wild with us as we join Iowa Wild’s play by play announcer Joe O’Donnell and his broadcast crew!
Kids will tentatively arrive 60- 90 minutes before the 3:00 game.
The students will have an opportunity for the following:
1) Get a behind the scenes tour of the franchise
2) A mock press conference with a player (this is subject to player availability)
3) Intro to hockey play-by-play (the game of hockey and broadcasting terms and broadcasting techniques)
4) Sit up in the broadcast booth shadowing broadcasters
5) Mock play-by-play booth for kids to call the game. We will record the audio of their broadcast and send it out to everyone after the broadcast
6) Admission for the child to the game
7) Discount tickets for families to join the game will also be available
