Part of Wagner Summer Theater’s mission is to bring together social education and discussions through the medium of art. This camp will be a great way to learn about other communities and share the experience through dance!
Join us for a fun few days learning all about hip-hop street styles. In this workshop intensive, students will learn steps, choreography and freestyle skills associated with Breaking, Popping and Hip-Hop party dances, as well as the empowering philosophies and stories that brought these dances from urban communities to global stages. We will divide the workshop in two groups. The camp culminates in a dance jam, where seasoned dancers will inspire the youth and campers to show off their new skills in a fun and encouraging dance party atmosphere. There may even be some dance battling! No prior dance experience needed.
